Caforio-Knight Race Moved to “Lean Dem”

Santa Clarita, Calif. – Today the nonpartisan political handicapper Sabato’s Crystal Ball officially moved California’s 25th Congressional race to “Lean Dem” in their final House ratings. Sabato rates CA-25 as one of 13 pickups for House Democrats.

California’s 25th district is the most competitive race in Southern California.

“With less than 36 hours to go until polls close, this ratings change is recognition of the strong grassroots campaign run by the Caforio campaign,” said Orrin Evans, Caforio’s Campaign Manager. “Steve Knight has been hiding from the press because he knows his policies are out of touch and out-dated. Meanwhile, Bryan Caforio has been busy speaking with and listening to this community, proving he is the right person to stand up for the 25th District. ”

Caforio was born and raised in Southern California by two public school teachers, attended UCLA and Yale Law School, worked for a United States federal judge, and practices as an attorney taking on some of the world’s biggest banks. Bryan lives in Santa Clarita with his wife Lisa, who serves as a Deputy City Attorney at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.

The 25th District covers northern Los Angeles County and part of Ventura County including the Antelope Valley, Palmdale, Lancaster, Santa Clarita, and Simi Valley. President Obama won the district in 2008. Last year Democratic registration eclipsed Republican registration, and the district is now majority-minority. National Republicans list Congressman Knight as one of their most vulnerable incumbents.
