Congressman Knight,

As recent events have shown — our nation faces an undeniably profound moment. It is in these moments that the people look to elected leaders to represent their best interests, protect their rights, and make decisions for the greater good. That’s why I decided to run for Congress, and as Congress prepares for summer recess, I believe we owe the voters a series of open debates. By debating the issues and answering constituent questions directly in an open forum we will help the voters make an informed decision in November.

I therefore propose seven separate debate forums across the district between now and Election Day.

Debating in each of these seven different locations will allow voters in all corners of our diverse  District to hear directly from us as we discuss important issues like Social Security, paid family leave, gun safety, women’s health, combatting ISIS, job creation, and many more. I understand how important your service to this country is, and that is why the dates proposed below reflect the Congressional recess schedule.

I hope you agree that we should speak to the voters directly, and I look forward to hearing from you about my proposal. I stand ready to debate anywhere, anytime.

Bryan Caforio
