Bryan Caforio to Participate in California Alliance for Retired Americans Candidate Forum in Antelope Valley
Congressman Steve Knight Will Not Attend

Valencia, Calif. –Today, May 13th, Bryan Caforio, candidate for Congress in California’s 25th Congressional District will participate in the California Alliance for Retired Americans Candidate Forum in the Antelope Valley. The forum comes one week after Congressman Steve Knight stated, “I think that Social Security was a bad idea. I do. I absolutely think it was a bad idea.”

The California Alliance for Retired Americans (CARA) is a statewide nonprofit organization that unites retired workers and community groups to win social and economic justice, full civil rights, and a better, more secure future for seniors, their families, and future generations.  CARA is the official state affiliate of the Alliance for Retired Americans.

The 25th District covers northern Los Angeles County and part of Ventura County including the Antelope Valley, Palmdale, Lancaster, Santa Clarita, and Simi Valley. President Obama won the district in 2008, and experts consider it a toss-up in a Presidential election year. Last year Democratic registration eclipsed Republican registration for the first time, and the district is now majority-minority. National Republicans list Congressman Knight as one of their most vulnerable incumbents.
